    Masterly stage management! Open necked shirt, ordinary sideboard, naff wallpaper, wee jug of flowers, short curtains - a real subliminal appeal to disaffected labour voters! Contrast this with the leather bound volumes, expensive furniture, soft lighting and floor-length drapes of the Whitehall politician. Eck doesn't stand on his dignity; it's the message that's important, not the wrapping. He's ours, and we're proud of him!
