A new day dawns for Scotland - we voted for our ain folk

Good morning Scotland - and it is a good morning!

To all Scots, of all political persuasions and none, of all ethnic and national groups, of all religions and of none -

To the wonderful, rich, diverse, vibrant mix that is the new Scotland

Look forward to a bright, non-nuclear, independent future for our nation

Saor Alba!

  3. Thanks to all Scots including all those independence supporting blogs who have countered the deliberate lies pushed out by the mainstream media.

The futures brighter now that the blinds have been opened.

  4. Hi Peter,

The results not all in yet but it seems we are heading for an overall majority.

Thank you for your efforts here. You have been nothing short of inspirational in many of your posts.

Don't you give up now, 'cause the fightback has only really just begun.

    Regards,

  7. Many are regretting the loss of so many talented figures to the Scottish Parliament. But devolution is a process and already a campaign is underway to have Labour Party big-hitter Jackie Baillie elected as the new leader. She will work tirelessly to help rebuild Labour for the future independence referendum. Let us all wish her every success in her bid for leadership.

  9. Thank you Peter for the articles and analysis. Without guys like you, fewer of our people would be aware of what is realy going on. More power to your keyboard. I think "lovely day" would be a fitting tune for the occasion!

  10. Thanks to all for comments. I didn't get much done yesterday becasue I just sat in a warm glow, in the knowledge that my country was in safe hands for at least five years.

Here's to the the new Scotland ...

  12. Thanks, Ruth - and we both made our contribution, however humble, in common with thousands of others, especially the on-the-ground campaign teams, to whom the real credit is due.

They are the ones that delivered the victory.
